Exploring Pendola Pass Quest at a Glance
Exploring Pendola Pass is a four-objective quest from Celeste that introduces the new Frozen Trail map.
You destroy 20 ARC enemies, search a control room, patch an antenna with a Wire and loot three containers, per the ARC Raiders Wiki.
The quest also hands you 3 Zipline items, and you need them for the tower.

Frozen Trail went live on October 8, 2026, and Pendola Pass is the headline map of that update. Our Pendola Pass guide covers the landmarks and map conditions, and our Frozen Trail update breakdown covers the rest of the patch.
| Objective | Where | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Destroy 20 ARC enemies | Anywhere on Pendola Pass | A weapon |
| Search the control room âfor powerâ | Cielo Sereno Observatory, northeast | Nothing |
| Patch the antenna | Tallest tower in the Railyard | 1 Wire and a Zipline |
| Search 3 containers | Commissary Supermarket, inside | Nothing |
The objectives use the names Cielo Sereno Observatory, Railyard and Commissary Supermarket.
Search with those spellings.
What to Bring Before You Deploy
Bring 1 Wire and keep your Zipline items in quick use.
The Wire is the one thing the quest doesnât hand you.
Wires are an uncommon material found in Electrical and Technological loot areas, so pick one up before you queue.
You only need a single Wire, and the antenna uses it.
A Snap Hook works in place of a Zipline if you already own one.
Weâd still run the Zipline.
The 2.0 update cut the Snap Hookâs range from 20m to 18m and raised its durability cost from 2% to 4% per use. Our Grappling Hook vs Snap Hook comparison covers how the two gadgets split roles now.
Ziplines also now break if the line intersects something after you place it.
You get three, so a bad first placement doesnât end the attempt.
Destroy 20 ARC Enemies (Step 1)
Any ARC enemy counts, so this objective fills itself while you work through the other three.
We pick off ARC along the way instead of detouring to hunt them.

Frozen Trail added the Bully, Skulker and Hydra, and they count like any other ARC. Our ARC enemies guide covers weak points, and the Bully guide and Skulker guide cover the two you are most likely to meet.
The official post warns that the Bully will âoppress your position and unleash unrelenting hellâ, so pick smaller ARC when you can.
Kill them anywhere on Pendola Pass.
One guide says kills on other maps count too, but we havenât seen that confirmed, so stay on this map.
Search the Cielo Sereno Control Room (Step 2)
The control room is inside the Cielo Sereno Observatory, in the northeast corner of Pendola Pass.
Inspect the computer in it and the objective completes.
The in-game wording ends with âfor powerâ.
We came in from the south-centre side and took the staircase on the west side.
From there we headed toward the west side of the building and went down to a small block of rooms.
Through the door, the control room is on the left, with a Shredder close by.
Watch for it.
Inspect the computer.

The prompt zaps you at the end, but you take no damage.
Guides describe the roomâs position differently - the middle, the south or the west of the building - so treat compass directions as approximate.
Go by the room itself: a small block with a computer and a Shredder close by.
Patch the Railyard Antenna (Step 3)
Head south from the observatory to the Railyard.
The tallest tower sits right on the map marker for this objective.
We headed up the building on the east side of the Railyard and out onto its roof.
Guides mention a fixed ladder on the outside of that building.
You canât walk to the top of the tower from there, so the Zipline or Snap Hook does the real work.
From the roof, we placed a Zipline up to the very top of the tower.

Ride it up, then interact with the antenna on the corner to patch it with your Wire.
Place the line cleanly.
A Zipline that clips something after placement breaks, so a clear angle saves you a spare.
Search 3 Containers in the Commissary Supermarket (Step 4)
From the Railyard, the Commissary Supermarket is just to the west, in the middle of the map.
Go inside and open any three regular containers.
Only regular containers counted in our run.
One guide reports that containers on the outer rim of the building donât count either, so stay indoors.

Pendola Pass uses Dynamic Loot Zones, so how much loot a spot holds changes from raid to raid. Our Pendola Pass guide explains how Dynamic Loot Zones work.
That doesnât change the objective: you need any three containers, not valuable ones.
Best Route Through Pendola Pass
Run the three location objectives as a loop: observatory in the northeast, Railyard to the south, supermarket to the west.
Your 20 ARC kills come along the way.
That is the route we run.
It keeps you moving in one direction instead of crossing the map twice.
Flash Freeze storms can force you to find shelter, so leave room in the plan for a detour. Our Flash Freeze guide has the storm timings and shelter rules.
Pendola Pass sits beyond the tube network, so you leave by Ballistic Gondola.
Community map data lists a Supermarket Transceiver beside the store, which would make the supermarket a natural last stop.
Rewards and What Comes Next
Finishing the quest gives you a Breathtaking Snow Globe, a Medium Shield and an Osprey I, per the ARC Raiders Wiki.
The 2.0 update also made quests and quest objectives grant XP.
Handing it in opens two follow-ups: Tracks of the Beast from Shani and Wires Crossed from Celeste.

Where is the control room in the Cielo Sereno Observatory?
The observatory sits in the northeast corner of Pendola Pass, and the control room is inside it.
We entered from the south-centre side, headed toward the west side of the building and went down to a small block with a computer and a Shredder nearby.
Guides place the room in the middle, south or west of the building, so go by the computer rather than the compass.
Inspect it to finish the objective.
How do you reach the antenna on the tallest Railyard tower?
Climb the building on the east side of the Railyard to its roof, then place a Zipline up to the top of the tallest tower.
Interact with the antenna there and spend 1 Wire to patch it.
A Snap Hook can do the job of the Zipline.
You canât walk to the top, so bring one of the two.
Where do you get a Wire for the Exploring Pendola Pass quest?
Wires drop in Electrical and Technological loot areas, so check those zones on the map.

You only need one for this quest.
What counts as a container in the Commissary Supermarket?
Any three regular containers inside the Commissary Supermarket count, and only regular containers counted in our run.
One guide reports that containers on the outer rim of the building donât register, so stay indoors.
Loot value doesnât matter for the objective.
Do you have to finish all four objectives in one raid?
Reportedly not.
Guides say the objectives can be done in any order and across several raids.
Only the antenna needs your Wire, so plan around that one.
We still run them as a single loop to save travel time.
What are the Exploring Pendola Pass rewards?

The 2.0 update also made quests and quest objectives grant XP.

It leads into Tracks of the Beast from Shani and Wires Crossed from Celeste.
Both appear as next quests on the ARC Raiders Wiki.
Both follow directly after this one.
Can you use a Snap Hook instead of a Zipline?
Yes, the Snap Hook is the alternative to the Zipline for reaching the tower.
The 2.0 update cut its range from 20m to 18m and raised its durability cost, so get close before you fire it.
The Zipline is the safer pick, and the quest gives you three.
